So, here’s a little bit about me. I’m married to Lindsley Hunter, who you would really like. I think we make a great couple. I am obsessed with technology, social media, marketing and branding. I think motorcycles are cool, and riding from east side to west side of this continent is on my 2012 list of things to do. I’m aspiring foodie with an incredible sense of humor. All of this is me, but my passion and first love is music…

I’m the founder of Indie Artist Development, a company I am really excited about. I’m launching an independent, boutique record company built on a new model that will soon take over the musical universe, Unamic Records, in early 2012. I’ve been blessed to work with a bunch of big artists and work in development with some on their way to being huge. Check the tabs below for the stuff I enjoy doing, and, maybe, I can do them with you.

Producers are hired to make the right decisions. That’s the whole job. Seems simple, right? The problem is there are so many choices when it comes to art, economy, and organization. Decisions can involve massive arrangements many instrumentalists, orchestra, choir, and hundreds of tracks, but sometimes the only thing that will do a song justice is an 808 beat and a slide whistle…Snnnoooop. I usually make the right decision.

I’m also very good at coming in on budget, and I’ve worked on records that have seen great success, including radio singles and Grammy nominations. If this sounds like what you need, or you want want some advice or a chat.

Mixing is an art. Combining all the sonic colors and textures that you, your producer, and band have worked so hard to capture should never be left to chance in the mix. Mixing is, after the song itself, the most important step in the process of building your project.

I have mixed for albums, radio singles, movies, and TV, etc. The right mix can make bad tracking techniques sound interesting, turn boring parts into a hook, and make a “vocally-challenged” singer a star. If you have great tracks, there is no limit to where we can take them.

Capturing the sound that you have envisioned from the first recorded note of your project to the last is the difference between a huge struggle at every step in the recording process and a smooth-rolling, effortless project from front to back. Getting the right sounds for your tracks will save you headaches in communication, loss of overall vision, and money.

I believe tracks should speak for themselves. You shouldn’t have to comunicate to everybody “what sound you are shooting for” or “where your band or artistry is going”. This should be clear from the rough mix of the first tracking session. My tracks have a great vocabulary.

I believe that songs are the most complelling form of art that exists. Songs can change minds, convey ideas, and spark emotions. A well crafted song can accomplish anything. I am open for co-writes with just about anybody in any style… I’m best with pop, though.

Whether you are looking to co-write for a project or a writing partner for a song pitch, chances are pretty good that we can do something cool and get a great demo while we write. Let’s get together and write a tune.

We’ve established that I’m a creative with a love for art, and that love extends into the visual, as well.  At a very young age I dreamed would grow up to be an artist or an architect. That lasted until I discovered my dad’s guitar, but the love of visual art has stayed with me. Later in life, it has collided with my technology and branding obsessions, which naturally gave birth to a love of graphic, website, and social media design, branding, and marketing. I love to mix it up from time to time and design a website or do some graphic branding. I’m familiar (read: kinda obsessed) with all the latest software and platforms, and, if you’re cool, I would love to colaborate on some digital media for you. Connect with me on the contact, and I’ll send you links to a few examples.
